Lives with pulmonary hypertension.
Eliana is a full of life, spunky, loving and kind hearted 16-year-old. At six months old she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary Hypertension or PH is a rare heart and lung disease where the vessels in the lungs are constricted making it harder for the heart to pump blood to the lungs.
Due to her disease she is unable to do every day activities that require a lot of activity. PH causes her to become very short of breath very easily and also gives her horrible chest pain. Eliana’s heart is very enlarged due to PH. She is on oxygen 24/7 and also has to use either a mobility scooter or wheelchair to get around because she can’t walk far distances. Despite the circumstances she faces every day, she is always cheerful and happy and loves to help others. She loves babies and hopes to be a pediatric cardiac surgeon when she grows up.
