What are Mark's favorite hobbies?
Mark loves to cook, draw, paint, and play with his siblings. During the spring and summer Mark enjoys gardening with his grandparents. Mark plays basketball and T-Ball in local sports clubs.
What does Mark want to be when he grows up?
When Mark grows up he wants to be a Doctor Chef, which according to him is a doctor by day and a chef by night.
Liam

Pre-b acute lymphoblastic leukemia
What is Liam's story?
Liam was diagnosed with pre-b acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of two. After a relapse of Liam’s leukemia and then a failed experimental treatment, Liam went on to receive a bone marrow transplant from his brave 13 year old sister in September 2020 at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Although the road has been tough with lots of ups and downs, Liam has remained his happy and loving self. We have recently returned home to NM and we look forward to watching Liam grow and take on the world.

Her favorite animal is the elephant and her favorite movie is the Live Action Cinderella. Raquela enjoys being active and her favorite sports are swimming and football!
Miles

Hunter’s Syndrome
What is Hunter's Syndrome?
Hunter’s Syndrome is a rare genetic, progressively debilitating, degenerative disorder.There is no cure and most kids that are diagnosed do not make it past their teens. Medically speaking, life will not be easy for Miles. Once a week for the rest of his life, he must receive Enzyme Replacement Therapy.
What does Miles love?
He loves his sister, music, dancing, mock boxing, family, friends, Roblox, and his frequent pizza from Dion’s!
Emma
Age 13
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT) and survivor of Leukemia
What is Emma's Story?
Emma was diagnosed with Leukemia in January of 2016. Three days after her diagnosis she had surgery for the first implant of a port for chemotherapy and shortly after had her first lumbar puncture with intrathecal chemotherapy. Emma endured 2.5 years of treatment which included 836 days of nightly chemo. While Emma is still cancer free, she was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT). CMT attacks the peripheral nerves, making the muscles weak. As of now, there are only three know cases of the type of CMT that Emma has.

She loves art, music, makeup, legos, math and dolls!
Natalie
Age 14
Optic Pathway Glioma and Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma
What is Natalie's Story?
Natalie was diagnosed with an Optic Pathway Glioma in April 2019. Two rounds into chemo, the tumor was gone. She continued through the full 10 rounds of infusions. But then, in June 2020 Natalie began "babying her arm". After a craniotomy and biopsy, Natalie was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. She began to decline quickly. Natalie received 9 weeks of proton therapy radiation which involved 30 rounds of radiation and 42 rounds of oral chemo.

Jacob
Age 18
Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, and Epilepsy
What is Jacob's Story?
Jacob was born in Las Cruces, NM on March 28, 2006 at 27 weeks. Either during birth or delivery Jake had a grade 4 brain bleed causing him to have Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, and Epilepsy.
What else can you tell us about Jacob?
Jacob is a very strong, determined, hilarious and lovable 14 year old with an old soul and heart of gold. Everywhere he goes he makes an impression and makes friends. He has a memory like an elephant and he is an animal lover. He loves horses and two of his own. His favorite color is red and loves all kinds of foods. His favorite superhero is THOR! He loves spending time outside and riding his mule golf cart. This really makes him feel free and he loves driving it. On weekends he loves to go on family picnics!
